As a longtime story teller, I have a lot of stories that I have told, but as a new author, most of them are not someplace you can read or hear them. I am working on changing that.

I am in process of releasing my first book, Dawn of the Second Darkness. Originally, I only had a title, but I decided to improve my writing skills by working on something that I didn’t know enough about to have my perfectionism get in the way. I think the strategy worked out well. Maybe too well. My one book now is two books, since I am trying to follow the recommendations I get from writers and publishing professionals about book length.

Needless to say, book 1 is soon to be published, and book 2, which is completely written but needs formatting and a cover are a little behind. I figure a few months ought to be good. I will fill you in more as I get closer to having book 2 ready to publish.

Additionally, I am starting my preparations to write one of my older stories that I told my kids and nieces and nephews some years back. It takes place in a world that I care a lot about, but this is more of a fun story that isn’t critical to the other stories that I am holding on of until I feel my writing skills can do them justice.

While doing that, I am working on figuring out how to market books. There is a lot involved with that. I hope it works.
