Light in the Second Darkness
The malevolent Second Darkness continues to sweep across the world, enslaving minds and destroying lives wherever it spreads.
The last Halidar, the grand archmage Rhondalyn, finds herself out of time, out of allies, and forced to send a ragtag band of misfits into the jaws of oblivion. Her only option is to compress years of training into a handful of frantic days, hopefully preparing them for a mission none of them are ready to face.
Their equipment is untested, their skills half‑formed, and their only backup is a single squad of loyal guards. Yet there is no alternative.
The team embarks on an epic journey to the far side of the world. Along the way, they must avoid the ever growing forces of the overlord, cross hostile continents, and plunge into the heart of the dark storm. Every step forward pits them against the storm’s thralls and the suffering of those caught in its wake, forcing them to choose between survival and compassion.
The journey is perilous, depressing, and filled with peril. Slowly they learn to work together to combine their unique skills to achieve an impossible goal.
But as the shadows deepen, so do the doubts. Whispers of betrayal creep in. The Darkness twists minds, and trust becomes a scarce and precious resource. Can they overcome these obstacles and infiltrate the dark tower, ultimately defeating the darkness once and for all?
